Happy National Surveyor’s Week
/Since the holiday was proclaimed by President Ronald Regan in 1984, we have celebrated National Surveyors Week each year beginning the 3rd Sunday of March. Reagan said, “In colonial days, surveyors were among the leaders in the community-statesmen, influential citizens, and shapers of cultural standards, including people such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.” With the new holiday proclaimed, he urged citizens to look back at the contributions surveyors have made to our society and to look ahead to the technology-driven future of the profession.
