dgl cO-oP, iNTERNSHIP, STUDENT WORKERS, NOW PLACING CO-OPs, SUMMER COOP

At DGL, students develop crucial skills and increase their knowledge in the engineering and surveying profession; however, they are part of something bigger…the DGL Difference!   The DGL Difference truly starts with our team.  As a co-op, you will be an integral part of the project team and help us create solutions for our clients.  We believe this productive time challenges and motivates co-ops and also helps you explore the wide variety of job opportunities available in the civil field.   We are passionate about finding the solutions to client problems and having fun along the way. In fact, our unofficial motto is “having fun while getting the work done”.  We also provide opportunities to volunteer our time and talents to local nonprofit organizations, offer STEM related engagement to schools and universities, run marathons together, among many other activities like our annual summer cornhole competition!

Student Experiences

Working alongside a dynamic team, I had the privilege of immersing myself in the intricacies of bridge inspections, load ratings, and structural engineering. The depth of knowledge acquired during this period has been truly transformative, solidifying my commitment to the field. The work environment at DGL Consulting Engineers, LL has been nothing short of exceptional, and I consider myself fortunate to have been part of such a collaborative and inspiring workplace. My heartfelt thanks to the entire DGL team for providing me with this invaluable opportunity.

My experience at DGL was absolutely incredible. I was able to learn and grow in an environment where I was challenged yet supported in the best way imaginable. DGL provided me with influential mentors that will continue to have an ever lasting effect on my future in civil engineering. I am so grateful for the technical and professional skills that I can take away from this opportunity.

During my search for a co-op, it was recommended by a friend that I should apply at DGL. I took their advice and I’m thankful that I did. DGL is a great opportunity to get outside of the classroom and experience the civil engineering world. They have opportunities to work in all kinds of departments so you can find what you enjoy. Not to mention, the people are great! Since my first co-op I have now returned for round two, and I’m excited to further my experience at DGL.

Beyond learning how to perform technical civil engineering tasks, DGL was instrumental in providing me the opportunity to collaborate as part of an extraordinary engineering team. At DGL, I was able to develop both the technical and professional skills necessary to pursue my goals and be successful in my civil engineering career.
