DGL Consulting Engineers, LLC is proud to announce that Ahmed Hamid, PE has been named a Principal of the firm and Director of Construction Services. Since joining DGL in 1999, Ahmed has served as one of DGL’s most versatile construction project managers and senior structural engineers. He has over sixteen years of design experience that includes bridge design and inspections, industrial building design, hydrology and hydraulic analysis of bridge structures, and construction administration.

A former 20-year employee of the City of Toledo’s Division of Transportation, Barb brings to DGL 30 years of experience in managing, designing, operating and maintaining the signal system of more than 500 intersections in Toledo. Barb received her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Toledo in 1982. She is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio and a member of both the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the International Municipal Signal Association.

ODOT Focuses on Safe Routes to School

Safety is top priority at the Ohio Department of Transportation. The Ohio Safe Routes to School Program assists communities in developing and implementing projects and programs that encourage and enable children in grades k-8, including those with disabilities, to walk or bike to school safely. ODOT recently rolled out its new campaign called “Every Move You Make, Keep It Safe” with the First Lady of Ohio, Karen Kasich.
