Transportation Engineer - PE Roadway
/Position Information
Summary: Roadway engineer with 4 to 7 years of design experience. Candidate must have a BSCE from an accredited school in Civil Engineering. Ohio Professional license preferred or the ability to obtain license within 6 months.
Will work under the supervision of the roadway department head.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Project Manager with production duties such as design, plan preparation, bid documents and cost estimates.
Design tasks may include pavement design, horizontal and vertical design, closed and open drainage system design and BMP design.
Plan preparation experience based on ODOT Location and Design Manual preferred.
Involvement in client meetings, responses to RFI’s and assisting in proposal preparation.
Assist with the oversight of entry level engineers and budgeting of work tasks.
Skill Set
Microsoft Office, Microstation (current ODOT L&D cad tools) and ability to use AutoCAD as a secondary cad drafting and design skill
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Ability to work and balance priorities among multiple projects
Outgoing, self-motivated team player
Proven success in delivering high quality project submittals
Professional demeanor
Overtime hours may also be requested dependent on project workloads and submittal deadlines
Education
BSCE from an accredited school in Civil Engineering
Ohio Professional license preferred or the ability to obtain license within 6 months.
