Civil Engineer's Expertise Aids FEMA’s Hurricane Relief

When FEMA’s Ohio Task Force 1 was called upon to assist the communities and victims of hurricanes Helene & Milton, Ben traveled South with the rest of their 80+ member team and used his Engineering & Inspection skills to help those in need.
Ben Plowman, PE was deployed with FEMA’s Ohio Task Force 1 to provide aid for the communities and victims of hurricanes Helene and Milton. While deployed, Ben’s role was to “identify any hazards in a collapsed or compromised structure.” - everything from personal residences to bridges.
Ben described the 2024 damage as the most devastation he’s seen in his eight years with the task force. We are all fortunate to have people like Ben in our lives, who are dedicated to helping others.
