The City of Perrysburg approved a $2.25 million road improvement project in an effort to ease traffic congestion at the demanding intersection of State Rt. 25 and Eckel Junction. The project, which started in July, is close to completion and is ahead of schedule. DGL provided construction inspection services - responsible for overseeing the daily inspection of work performed, scheduling and administrating progress project meetings, recording daily activities, quantities, contractor’s equipment and on-site personnel. We reviewed/approved shop drawing submittals, change orders, pay requests prior to submitting to the City, and monitored the overall project budget. We also scheduled and reviewed material testing and ensured the results were in line with the requirements and specifications. DGL coordinated/relayed contractor’s work schedule with area business owners and kept the City updated each week of the contractor’s work schedule for communication purposes. We were also assigned to keep records of abandoned utilities location and types as they were encountered during excavation. This work was coordinated appropriately with the adjacent Costco site which is currently under construction. This included miscellaneous utility repair and relocation with private utility companies.
