ODOT District Two Construction Update
/ODOT District Two released the following construction update for the traveling public. DGL contributed to numerous projects listed. Below are the updates for Lucas/Wood Counties. 1. Interstate 75: Widening *UPDATE* Wood & Hancock Counties (170 -14, 199-14, 237-14 & 3000-14): Through 2016, southbound I-75 will be reduced to two lanes from US 20 to I-475 Perrysburg. Through September, overnight from 8pm until 6am, single lane restrictions and traffic shifts are possible on I-75, from US 20 in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County, for pavement repair and barrier wall installation. On Wednesday, July 30, through November, Bays Road at I-75 and Jerry City Road, at I-75 will be closed for bridge work. Detour: SR25; SR 281; Solether Rd. Additional restrictions will be announced. Project complete: August 2017. All work is weather permitting.
2. Interstate 75: Pavement Rehabilitation *UPDATE* Lucas County (268-14): Through, August, overnight, 7pm to 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-75, from Dorr Street to the I-75/I-475 interchange for pavement repair. Additionally, at this time, the ramp from eastbound I-475 to southbound I-75 may be restricted. On Thursday, July 24, through Sunday, July 27, overnight, 7pm to 6am, the following short-term intermittent ramp restrictions will be possible for pavement repair, ramps will be closed concurrently: -The ramp from southbound I-75 to Detroit Avenue (Exit 203) -The ramp from Detroit Avenue to southbound I-75 -The ramp from Lawrence Avenue to southbound I-75 -The ramp from southbound I-75 to Collingwood Boulevard (Exit 202B) -The ramp from southbound I-75 to Washington Street. (Exit 201) Project complete: July 2016. All work is weather permitting.
3. Interstate 75/475: Interchange Upgrade Lucas County (281-10): Through July, lane restrictions and shoulder restrictions are possible on I-475, from Secor Road to I-75, and on I-75, from Detroit Avenue to Berdan Avenue, for finish work. Project complete: July. All work is weather permitting.
4. Interstate 475/U.S. Route 23: Interchange Upgrade Lucas County (184-14): Through December 2015, overnight from 8pm until 6am, shoulder and overnight lane restrictions are possible at the interchange of I-475/US 23 from Central Avenue to N. Holland Sylvania Road. Through September, Blossman Road, between Fairbanks Avenue and Plainview Drive, will be closed for bridge work. Detour: Plainview Drive; Central Avenue; Fairbanks Avenue. The University/Parks Trail will remain open during this time. Additional closures and restrictions will be announced. Project complete: December 2015. All work is weather permitting.
5. Interstate 475: Bridge Widening Lucas County (251-13& 235-14): Widen four bridges on I-475 between Angola Road and Salisbury Road/Dussel Drive. Through May 2016, overnight from 8pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between Garden Road and Angola Road, for bridge widening. Through June 2016, lane and shoulder restrictions are possible on the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/I-90) at the I-475 bridge. Through July 2015, Manley Road at I-475 is closed. Detour: Garden Road; Holloway Road; Salisbury Road. 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-475 between Angola Road and Salisbury Road/Dussel Drive. Project complete: June 2016. All work is weather permitting.
6. Interstate 475: Resurfacing *UPDATE* Lucas and Wood Counties (32-14): Through October, overnight from 7pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, from SR 25 to US 20A, for resurfacing. Through Saturday morning, July 26, overnight from 7pm until 6am, intermittent short-term ramp closures are possible at the I-475/US 24 interchange. Detours will be posted. Weekend interstate lane restrictions will be announced. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
7. Interstate 280: Resurfacing and Bridge Repair Wood County (174-13): Through November, both directions of I-280, between Ayers Road and Woodville Road, are reduced to one lane with an 11 foot lane width restriction for bridge work. Through August, the following ramps will be closed: -The ramp from southbound I-280 to Walbridge Road. Detour: southbound I-280; eastbound SR 795; northbound I-280. -The ramp from Walbridge Road to southbound I-280. Detour: northbound I-280; northbound SR51; southbound I-280. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
8. State Route 2: Anthony Wayne Bridge Project *UPDATE* Lucas County (58-13): Through September 2015, the Anthony Wayne Bridge is closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Detour: Oak Street; Fassett Street; Miami Street; I-75; Anthony Wayne Trail (Exit 201B); Monroe Street; Summit Street. Effective Monday, July 28, through Friday, August 1, expect daytime closures of Yondota Street between Nevada Street and Greenwood Street for bridge deck removal. Detour: Nevada Street; Miami Street; Greenwood Street. Project complete: December 2015. All work is weather permitting.
9. State Route 65: Bridge Painting Lucas County (395-13): Through September, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on the Craig Bridge (SR65), between Front Street and Summit Street, for bridge painting. Through August, daily from 9am until 3pm, the Craig bridge will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for bridge painting. Detour: Summit Street; Cherry Street; Front Street. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
10. U.S. Route 20: Turn Lane Addition *UPDATE* Wood County (173-13): Through August, intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions are possible at the intersection of US 20 and Lime City Road for turn lane addition. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.
11. U.S. Route 23: Resurfacing Wood County (598-13): Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on US 23, between SR 105 and US 6, for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.
12. State Route 65: Resurfacing & Bridge Work Wood County (159-14): Through November, lane restrictions are possible on SR 65, from W. Boundary Street (SR 25) to SR 64 (Waterville bridge), for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Through July, SR65, between Fort Meigs Road and Hull Prairie Road, will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 64; SR582; SR 25. Effective Monday, August 4, through mid-September, SR 65, between Hull Prairie Road and Roachton Road, will be closed for bridge repair. Detour; SR 64; SR 582; SR 25. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
13. State Route 105: Sewer Work *NEW WORK* Wood County: Effective Monday, August 4, through Friday, August 8, SR 105 will be closed between Lemoyne Road and Hickory Street, near Pemberville, for sewer work. Detour: SR199; US6; US 23. All work is weather permitting.
14. State Route 281: Culvert Replacement Wood County (193-14): Through July, SR 281, between Henry/Wood County Line and Weston Road, will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 65; US6; SR 235. Local access will be maintained. All work is weather permitting.
15. State Route 582: Culvert Replacement *NOW OPEN* Wood County: SR 582 is now open the culvert replacement work is now complete.
16. State Route 582: Resurfacing Wood County (591-13): Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 582, between SR 25 and SR 65, for resurfacing. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work weather permitting.
