Laurie L. Adams, PE, PTOE, PTP Named DGL’s Managing Principal

DGL Consulting Engineers, LLC, a multi-disciplinary professional engineering firm co-owned by Laurie Adams, Ahmed Hamid, Rick McGuckin and Scot Morehouse, is excited to announce that Laurie Adams, PE, PTOE, PTP has been named as the firm’s Managing Principal. As Managing Principal, Ms. Adams will oversee necessary staff/project allocation, corporate function supervision and Quality Control procedures and compliance, as well as her long-standing traffic and safety role. Laurie joined the firm in 1986 and has been an owner since 1999. Her tenure spans a wide range of our services - from traffic, to roadway, to development - which is an asset to performing the duties associated with the position and co-leading the firm’s strong legacy.

Laurie holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Toledo (UT) and is a Professional Engineer in Ohio and Michigan. She is also a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer, which is an international certification, as well as a Professional Transportation Planner. Laurie is currently the President of the Engineering Affiliate of UT and serves on the College Engineering Development Committee, as well as the Civil Engineering Advisory Board. In 2015, Laurie was selected as UT’s Civil Engineering Outstanding Alumna. She sits on the Lucas County Access Management Board of Appeals and the Toledo Area Metropolitan Council of Government’s (TMACOG) Transportation Improvement Program committee. She participates in numerous professional organizations, including the Technical Society of Toledo, American Society of Highway Engineers and the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
