DGL's 2022 - Year In Review

There’s much to be excited about at DGL and in the industry as a whole. Our team has had a great year and wanted to share just a few of our accomplishments as we jump into 2023.

Team Size:

We’ve made many valuable additions to our team in the past year, hiring Engineers, Surveyors, Construction Inspectors, Transportation Planning & GIS Specialists, and Marketing Professionals. Altogether, our 2022 new hires have brought more than 100 years of experience to our team. Not only will they enhance DGL’s existing capabilities, but they will help to expand on the depth of services we can provide to our clients.

New PE/PS Licensures:

In the last 12 months DGL has welcomed a Professional Engineer, an Engineering Intern and a Professional Surveyor to the firm. They have allowed us to expand our professional experience and capabilities throughout Ohio. We haven’t just hired registered professionals in the past year, as part of DGL’s professional development program we encourage our employees in their pursuit of additional licensures and certifications in their respective fields. In the past year, two of DGL’s engineering interns earned their professional engineering license, which brings our total count to 17 Professional Engineers and 4 Professional Surveyors. Additionally, 2 members of the traffic & safety team have earned their RSP1 and one member of our survey team members earned his CST III certificate.

New Projects:

Throughout 2022, which is not yet over, DGL has opened 236 new projects. This represents an increase of more than 12% over our 2021 project count. We’ve been enjoying our growth, but not resting on our laurels; we recognize that preserving our excellence is a prerequisite to our continued success for years to come.

New Office Space:

Big things are happening in Central Ohio for DGL. Our Dublin, Ohio team has moved into a new, larger office and has been adding new clients and service offerings. New Services:

We’re actively expanding on the services we provide to our clients. A few of our expanded services include Transportation Planning, GIS services and Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) services. Not to mention we’ve continued to enhance our capabilities in stormwater management and sustainable practices, becoming industry experts in more niche subservices. Keep an eye on our website for more information in the months to come detailing our continual growth.

Even when you’ve been around for almost 100 years, you haven’t seen it all. It will be a new year soon and we’re looking forward to what it will hold for the DGL Team and for the industry as a whole.
