We are so excited to announce that DGL was named the NW Ohio Concrete Engineer of the Year at the 2018 NW Ohio Concrete Seminar yesterday afternoon. This annual event attracts engineers, designers and other industry experts across the region. The award recognizes and honors the designers whose project exhibits the high value and benefits that concrete pavement offers its owners.

Additionally, DGL’s Josh O’Neil, PE, CPESC presented his case study on the Summit Motorsports Park Dragstrip. The previous dragstrip had an inconsistent profile grade, needed ongoing maintenance of the concrete to asphalt transition and jet engines had melted and debonded the asphalt starting area. The new dragstrip lanes are designed with concrete pavement and the asphalt starting area was removed and concrete pavement was installed. Construction of the new dragstrip was completed earlier this year. You can view the presentation here.
