The University of Toledo is committed to providing a functional, safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for campus staff, faculty, students and visitors. When UT determined a reconstruction of their Parking Lot 2 was necessary, DGL Consulting Engineers developed a plan that included the design (FDR of the 53,760 SF lot, new landscape islands and restriping), preparation of construction documents, bidding and construction oversight activities. The project footprint maintained the existing limits with the addition of landscaped islands (by a landscape architect). Additional design items included revisions to the lot layout to provide efficient traffic movement throughout the lot. Our construction documents detailed the phasing required to allow entrance into the adjacent parking structure rehabilitation project.
