This project included the widening and resurfacing of SR 199 to add a left turn lane for northbound traffic and a new traffic signal at the intersection. Project limits were approximately 0.21 miles starting at the bridge crossing Interstate 75 and ending at Dr. McAuley’s Court. Existing side slopes were benched to accommodate the roadway widening. New storm sewers, sidewalks, signage and pavement markings were also included. Traffic was maintained in one lane with the use of a work zone traffic signal. Access to three residential properties was maintained during the construction. The project is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2018. Total construction cost is approximately $543,000.
