The extension of the Cuyahoga Towpath Trail system follows the historic route of the Ohio & Erie Canal. The trail encourages birding, walking, biking, running, horseback riding and more while taking in the natural beauty of Northeast Ohio. DGL partnered with the contractor and Turner Concrete Products on the design of an 80 foot long Redi-Rock retaining wall system for the construction of a trail lookout point. The gravity wall design provided for a simple, cost-effective way to utilize the available footprint and support both the scenic viewing area, and maintain the multi-use path function below.
