This ODOT LPA project upgraded approximately 0.50 miles of US 20 between the intersection of US 20 / US 24, and the north approach slab of the Maumee Perrysburg Bridge. The existing four lanes of pavement were milled and resurfaced to a depth of 3.25 inches. All milling and paving operations were performed at night so that the effect of construction would be minimized to the local businesses. Adjustments and reconstruction of catch basins and manholes were also included within the project. DGL’s project responsibilities included construction administration, inspection and material testing services. EEO prevailing wage interviews were performed along with DBE commercial useful function (CUF) monitoring. This heavily traveled downtown urban city center produces busy pedestrian traffic which had to be maintained while new curb ramps and walk replacement was constructed. To finish out the project, new video detection was installed at all downtown signals and a signal upgrade, with new turn phasing, was installed. Total construction cost was $673,000.
